In commemoration of the 100 year anniversary of the Canadian Federation of University Women, this year’s Celebrate the Season Members’ Show & Sale will feature a major work of art created by FASM artists to celebrate the women of Milton who have made a difference over the past 100 years in Arts, Advocacy, Rural, Education, and the Professions.

To accommodate both the the large sculpture installation as well as the members’ artwork, note the following changes from previous years:

Colour Swatch for 100 Years of 100 Women Installation

  • only 1 piece per member for $40 (instead of 2)
  • however, the exhibit will run for 6 weeks instead of 3 weeks
  • plus, there will be TWO well publicized receptions instead of just the one Opening Reception (the second one will be hosted by the Canadian Federation of University Women on Nov. 27, 2019, 7-9 pm)
  • we hope members will submit works of art to complement the colours we will be using in the installation.

As in past years, there will be several performances and events taking place in the Arts Centre during the exhibition.  During these events, people who wander in to the Holcim Gallery to enjoy the art are always pleasantly surprised to see the wide range of talent of FASM’s artists.  And, as you know, this is the very best time of year to show your work.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of something truly special this year.  We especially encourage our newest members to join in!

Our Opening Reception will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 6:30. All are invited to attend and celebrate Christmas with us. Please bring family members and friends, and send invitations to your social media contacts as well. There will be refreshments and the Cash Bar will be open.

All FASM members are welcome to attend a second reception, on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

We need to know as soon as possible if you will be participating in the exhibition.  Attached here are the Exhibit Application Form, the Information Sheet and a Membership Form (if you are renewing for 2020):
