Pumpkin patches, fall mums, winding roads, and autumn hues in every direction paint a beautiful and inviting picture that is Escarpment Country.
For twenty years, The Fine Arts Society of Milton has celebrated this special time of year with the annual Studio Tour. Over that time, Milton has grown: in population, goods and services, cultural richness, and national recognition. It is a magnificent place to live, learn, laugh, and enjoy all that embodies the Canadian spirit. Even more so, it is an inspiring place for artists to work, and it is no wonder that the FASM member community has grown as well, in numbers, diversity, and area.
The FASM Board of Directors has decided it needs to reassess the impact of these changes and determine how they can re-tailor this major event for everyone: the FASM members, the business community, and for the art-loving visitors to the Tour. They will be considering issues such as artists without studios, artists who reside in outer areas in the Greater Milton area, and innovative ways in which the community can benefit from this event for many years to come.
Therefore, the Board has elected to forego the 2019 Studio Tour and are eager to direct their efforts instead on developing a revitalized and refreshed version of this event.
Your continued support is valued and we urge you to check our website frequently for other upcoming opportunities to enjoy local art and join us at our various shows and exhibitions. Better still, come visit us at the FASM at the Mall Gallery and chat with our volunteers about the latest updates.
