The AM Gallery is in the Milton Mall close to the Food Court
Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, closed Sunday to Wednesday
All FASM members are invited to participate in the Farmers’ Market Shows on Saturday September25
These shows will happen on the grass in front of Knox Presbyterian Church (south side of Main Street next to China House Restaurant and `will also be part of the Market on the edge of the Main Street. The set up for each show will be at about 8:00am but you are welcome to come earlier if you wish. A donation for each show is requested to Knox Church for their kind permission to use their property.
Please contact webmaster@fasm.ca if you want to take part.
Stands/ tables will not be provided this year so…bring your own stands/ tables with your artwork- as much as you want to bring- all your responsibility!
If it rains it is up to you whether to take part.
We shall use the Shows to promote FASM and Studio tour brochures will be distributed to the public.

A.M. Gallery Opens Its Doors
September 2, 2009, Milton, ON—It is with great excitement that the Fine Arts Society of Milton (FASM) announces the grand opening of the Arts Milton (A.M.) Gallery. A.M. Gallery is a joint venture between FASM, Arts Milton and the Milton Mall, featuring original works of art by local artists. FASM and Arts Milton are both not-for-profit organizations. This is a community, volunteer-run initiative.
Arts Milton President Tom Carson says, “Arts Milton is proud to be partnering with FASM and The Milton Mall to make the arts more accessible to the community. We hope that arts-minded people living in the Milton area will take this opportunity to support and connect with our local artists, especially now that we are gearing up for our new home in the cultural centre.”
Janis Hodgins, President, the Fine Arts Society of Milton, stated, “This is a great opportunity for the Fine Arts Society of Milton to exhibit the works of its members. We have an extraordinary pool of talented artists, both professional and emerging who represent many facets of fine art. A.M. Gallery gives FASM and Arts Milton a wonderful venue to communicate the arts community and its variety of fine arts, performing arts. “
Great support has also come from Jenifer Sim, Marketing Director, Retail Services, Bentall LP (Milton Mall) “FASM and Arts Milton contribute much to the community and as the only shopping centre in the town, Milton Mall is thrilled to be able to provide space and exposure for these local groups”
On Friday, September 11, 2009, the doors will open on the first show and feature the collective works of artists Barb Ariss-Stroh-Wasser, Monica Burnside, Gesuina Eyford, Paul Hobbs, Janis Hodgins, Ursula McDermid, Brigitte Schreyer, Sandra Spagnuolo, Barbara VanSickle and Marg Wilkes. The gallery will remain open to the public on Thursday evenings from 7-9 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 12pm to 3pm.
Please take this wonderful opportunity to meet your local artists and discover the talent that lives in your community.
