About the Artist
Doris Treleaven started in the metal world working in her father's Tool and Die shop as a youth. After many years working as a pressure vessel welder in the food and automotive world, she decided to start her metal art company, "Metalscape" in 2000, giving in to the creative drive to make really interesting things out of metal. Specializing in outdoor garden art, Doris has made a wide range of items from small butterflies to countless amazing railings, gates, arbours, and numerous custom-designed and installed artistic pieces commissioned by clients. Doris can look at a piece of metal and envision it to the end, creating beautiful and functional art. She has been seen on many T.V. shows, been on the radio, and participated in multiple juried art shows, such as One of a Kind in Toronto. Having bought a large shop in Limehouse, ON, you can visit her studio and showroom by chance or appointment. There is always something special being created. Come for a visit.
